the early days

Our Club Charter date was 28th March 1985 and started with the following members.

We will be celebrating our 40th birthday on 17 May 2025

From very humble beginnings and no money, the group took on the task of a cleanup of the Cowaramup townsite, and started selling firewood as a way of raising funds. The early days also saw fundraising through the Lions Christmas cake sales, grape picking, sheep shearing, hay making and many other activities. There wasn’t much these men didn’t turn their hand to, from organising rodeos to building a swimming raft and everything in between, the list is endless.
